Beginner Women’s 4-Week MTB Program

Looking to join a fun group of women and an amazing team of coaches for skill-building and good times on the trails?

This program is designed for beginner riders and focuses on developing fundamental mountain biking skills, including:

  • Balance and body position

  • Effective gearing and braking

  • Climbing and descending

  • Cornering

  • Front-wheel lifts and roll-downs

Riding will take place on green and some blue terrain, providing a supportive environment for growth and confidence building.

Women’s 4-Week Intermediate MTB Program

Want to join a fun group of women and our awesome crew of coaches for some skill development fun?

  • Intermediate level riders will refine the fundamentals and learn some more progressive maneuvers as well as tight and high speed cornering techniques, climbing and descending in more challenging terrain and dynamic riding for more efficient riding. Riding will take place on mostly blue terrain.

  • Intermediate+ level riders will take it to the next level on all-mountain terrain — we will apply our progressive skills on more challenging terrain all while gaining speed and air depending on your comfort and control. Riding will take place on blue and black terrain.

5-Week Women’s Skills Progression Course For Intermediate / Advanced Riders

Want to ride with more confidence and control in any situation?

Whether you’re looking to corner faster, tackle steeper descents, maintain speed over bumps and drops, balance on skinnies, or show your kids how to handle jumps at the bike park, this 5-week program is for you!

Here’s what we’ll focus on:

  • High-speed cornering

  • Steep descents

  • Balance on narrow or technical terrain

  • Jumps and drops

Each week, we’ll break down techniques, practice on features to build confidence, and take it to the trails to make it second nature.

Jumps and Drops Skills Session

Get comfortable catching air (and looking awesome!) on your bike. This session focuses on foundational jumping techniques, with instruction on green and blue-level jumps. Progress at your own pace based on your comfort and control.

What to bring:

  • Flat pedals and flat-soled shoes are highly recommended for this session.

Join us and take your jumping skills to the next level! All practice takes place in a local Canmore bike park, providing a safe and supportive environment to hone your skills.

Cornering with Technique, Speed and Confidence Skills Session

Unsure about the best body and bike position for different corners? This session will help you master cornering by breaking down the techniques for various types of turns, including tight, flat, and bermed corners.

Our coaches will guide you in building confidence, improving your speed through corners, and tackling more challenging terrain with control and precision.

Descending Steeps Session

Mastering mountain terrain demands solid bike control across all types of surfaces. Descending steep trails can be especially challenging, with loose surfaces, obstacles, and varying grades testing your skills. Many riders struggle due to poor body position, which makes these descents feel harder than they need to be.

In this session, you’ll learn how proper body positioning and bike control can help you tackle steep descents with confidence and ease.
