Safe Sport + Athlete Protection Policy
RMCC is committed to providing our athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers with a safe and inclusive environment that fosters and preserves a positive, healthy and enjoyable experience for all individuals. We embrace our responsibility to cultivate an environment that is free from abuse, harassment and discrimination, and we encourage individuals to feel empowered and comfortable reporting any behaviour that breaches the ABA Conduct or the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS)
The ABA Protection Policy describes how Persons in Authority shall maintain a safe sport environment for all Athletes. RMCC is committed to following Safe Sport Guidelines and adheres the the Alberta Bicycle Association (ABA) Policy.
Abuse-Free Sport is Canada’s independent system for preventing and addressing maltreatment in sport.
The Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner (OSIC) serves as Abuse-Free Sport’s central hub and is responsible for administering the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS). OSIC is an independent division of the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC).
