The Rundle Mountain Cycling Club has big plans for 2017 with the evolution of a number of our programs. Most notably is our RMCC-R Express Youth Race Team, which is now a full time, year round, program. In order for RMCC to offer affordable programs and coaching education we are dependent on community partners, sponsors and foundations. We are very excited we were able to meet our 2017 sponsor goals and pleased to announce that the following local businesses will be partnering with RMCC in 2017 and 2018.
Our top-level PB “Powered By” sponsors sponsors include both Wild Rose Electric and Bow Valley Moving.Wild Rose Electric has donated generously in previous years to RMCC and has resigned for two more years to be our Youth Revolution Sponsor.
Funds from Wild Rose Electric will go towards coaching education / certification and Youth Revolution Program clothing. New to RMCC this year is Bow Valley Moving , who is our PB sponsor for the RMCC-R Express Youth Race Team. The RMCC-R Express Team is an ambitious project to budget for, but these sponsorship funds go directly towards subsidizing the cost of this newly focused race program for our top youth athletes.
Our new Silver Sponsor is Alpine Precision Tree Services who’s funds will also go directly to supporting the RMCC-R Express Youth Race Team. Alpine Precision is actively engaged with a number of non-profit groups in the Bow Valley area. Alpine Precision is a fully-insured residential, commercial and government tree service owned and operated by active RMCC members, John and Laura Newsome of Canmore, Alberta.
Our Bronze Sponsor is All Board Drywall Which is locally owned and operated by RMCC club member, Damian Francis, an actively engaged rider and mountain bike competitor in the Bow Valley. The funds from All Board Drywall will also go directly to supporting the RMCC-R Express Race Team.
Community Partnerships or services from our “in kind” sponsors, for 2017 include Ascent Physical Therapy, Life Works Gym and Rebound Cycle which are long term Bow Valley businesses that are actively engaged in the cycling community. Ascent has been offering winter training options to RMCC for a number of years and continues to support the club’s Computrainer classes. Rebound Cycle will be working closely with RMCC to act as a central location for club clothing sales and Life Works is providing subsidized strength training for our RMCC-R Express Race Team. Also new for 2017 is a direct partnership with 4iiii Innovations in Cochrane, Alberta who will be working closely with our RMCC-R Express Youth Race Team and helping to outfit our racing youth with latest technology heart rate monitors and crank-based power meters.
